Matthew Kuehl grew up in South Africa as the child of ZEMA missionaries. He graduated with an Intercultural Studies (Missions) degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.

He is serving the Lord among the amaZioni in Gauteng, South Africa. Matthew’s primary ministry is within the ZEBS schools, both as a teacher and in behind-the-scenes administration. He is also involved in running the ZEBS Bookshop, which is thriving. Gauteng currently has 9 ZEBS schools. Matthew is also involved in teaching and administering 2 schools in Zimbabwe, the country directly north of South Africa.

Matthew says, “For me, there is no greater work on earth than working with the amaZioni people. It’s a privilege to see their heart and passion for God. I believe God has placed me exactly where He wants me to be. I love teaching at the ZEBS and getting to know the people there. They want to know the truth so much, and they are so willing to sit all day, listen to the lectures, and struggle with the material till they understand it and can apply it. I enjoy the administrative work and the bookshop, too. There is no task too mundane for the Kingdom. And finally, I love visiting the amaZioni in their homes and at their services. What a pleasure it is to get to know them and learn about their hopes and dreams, their highs and lows. There is an adage that says, If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. I am living proof that that is true. “
