Sunbury became the environment where a Jr. Youth accepted Christ, a Sr. Youth led someone to Christ for the first time, and a youth pastor was delighted to see God work in the lives of two of his youth.
Sunbury Christian Camp is looking for a couple to join their ministry team. This couple would be involved in the administration, and running of the camp and facility.
Responsibilities would include hosting camps as well as other tasks to be determined by the couple in consultation with the Sunbury Committee.
These might be: maintenance, housekeeping, bookkeeping, and reservations.

The job includes
Maintenance
Oversees the buildings, utility systems, and gardening aspects of camp. This will include supervision and scheduling of staff. Formal training is not necessary, but general handyman skills with some knowledge of plumbing or electrical and a willingness to learn are essential.
Housekeeping
Oversees housekeeping staff in maintaining clean camp facilities. Duties include supervision and scheduling of staff and inventory of supplies.
Bookkeeping
Maintains records of camp income, expenditures, and petty cash. Duties also include handling of general banking needs, simple payroll, and preparing basic financial reports. No formal training needed, but attention to detail and a general knowledge of finances and the ability to use a computer and Microsoft office suites are essential.
Reservations
Maintains camp bookings. This includes answering enquires by phone and email regarding camp and its amenities, scheduling of group bookings and handling of all correspondence and paperwork associated with each booking. A willingness to interact with group leaders and the ability to use a computer are essential.
Camp Host
This responsibility is shared with others living at Sunbury, and only required while camps are present on the grounds. Camp hosts welcome camp leaders, orient clients to the facility, and are available to assist with facility needs which arise throughout a camp session.
Sunbury is surrounded by sugar cane fields and is situated 20 minutes from the lovely protected Zinkwazi Beach and 10 minutes from Harold Johnson Nature Reserve and hiking trails by the Tugela.
At Sunbury one can enjoy beautiful surroundings of manicured landscaping with a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean on one side and lush hills on the other.
